Implantable Artificial Kidney
The artificial kidney project aims to combine nano-scale engineering with the most recent advances in cellular biology to create an implantable device that would enable patients with chronic kidney failure to lead healthier and more productive lives, without external dialysis or immune suppressant medication.
Wearable Kidney
To be worn like a belt and providing continuous dialysis, wearable kidney would help change globally the current lifestyles of people with failed kidneys. Patients are free to walk, work, or sleep while undergoing continuous dialysis that closely replicates normal kidney functions.
